Azma Fallah had tagged each of Munawar Faruqui's teammates as his 'chamche' on Kangana Ranaut's Lock Upp.
Ahead of Lock Upp grand finale, Poonam Pandey was all praises for Munawar Faruqui. While talking to OTTplay, she defended her tag of Munawar’s chamche but at the same time, appreciated the comedian for playing a smart game. Poonam also indirectly took a dig at Anjali Arora, who she believes played a nasty game in Lock Upp.
We asked Poonam how would she defend the ‘Munawar ke chamche’ tag that Azma Fallah put on everyone who was Munawar’s friend and the actress broke into a laugh. She then said, “Honestly, the way Munawar plays, it looks like we are his chamche. That is the narrative (laughs). I can never forget that word. It may look like that.”
Poonam was hinting at how the kaidis, especially Payal Rohatgi, kept on saying that Team Munawar played their own narrative on the show. Of course, she was true to an extent but then again, even Poonam believes that Munawar played a smart game the way he stayed in Lock Upp and came to the finale.
“The last two-three weeks when I was going low in the show, the makers did a fab job by giving me chances. I respect that. He played a smart game. It wasn't nasty or filthy but a smart game,” Poonam said about Munawar and herself.
Poonam Pandey was evicted after she failed to beat Saisha Shinde during the finale task. If she did, then she would have entered the finale week and been in the competition with the finalists instead of Saisha.
The fashion designer, Saisha Shinde, was also evicted from Lock Upp just before the finale. The finalists who will be competing with each other for the Lock Upp trophy are Munawar, Anjali, Payal, Azma Fallah, Shivam Sharma and Prince Narula.
Lock Upp Badass Finale will be available on AltBalaji and MX Player from 10.30 pm. The winner will also be announced in the episode today itself.
