Lock Upp: Babita Phogat confirmed as the fourth contestant on Kangana Ranaut's show

Lock Upp will start streaming on AltBalaji and MX Player from February 27.

Wrestling champion Babita Phogat has been confirmed as the fourth contestant on Kangana Ranaut's upcoming reality show Lock Upp. Her name has been confirmed after Nisha Rawal, Munawar Faruqui and Poonam Pandey were confirmed for the show. Babita is one of the most-loved Sports personalities in the country.

The makers released a video to announce Babita as the fourth inmate in Lock Upp. She has been charged with 'breaking the stereotype'. For the uninitiated, Babita and her sister Geeta were one of the first women wrestlers from India who went to the Olympics and even won the gold medal.

Babita's story became even more popular after Aamir Khan adapted the tale of the Phogat sisters' victory on the big screen. Dangal, which released in 2018, covered their journey from struggling since childhood and eventually bagging the gold medal at such a huge platform.

While Babita had shown a slight shift into the glamour industry ever since, she really did become one with the industry after participating in Nach Baliye 9 with her then-fiance now-husband Vivek Suhag.

Babita had also ventured into politics in 2019. She had joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and contested elections from Haryana. Unfortunately, she lost to Sombir.

Lock Upp is backed by Ekta Kapoor and will be streaming on her OTT platform AltBalaji. The show will also be available on MX Player 24x7. It will start streaming from February 27.
