After starting his career with Television, actor Vikrant Massey made his way into the Bollywood industry by delivering powerful performances in movies like 12th Fail, Sector 26, and The Sabarmati Report as well as in shows like Mirzapur, Broken But Beautiful, among others. Today, on December 2, the actor made a shocking announcement of retiring from acting at the age of 37. He shared an official announcement of the same on his Instagram account and said he would meet his fans for "one last time" in 2025.

As Vikrant decided to make this big decision let's revisit and take a look at some of his best performances in movies as well as OTT shows.

Vikrant Massey's best performances

Mirzapur (Prime Video)

The gangster drama became an instant fan favorite when it was released in 2018. The show stars Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Harshit Gaur. Along with powerful performances, the show delivered an intense drama revolving around power and money. Vikrant's performance as Bablu Pandit won hearts as he delivered a nuanced character loaded with emotions and dreams.

12th Fail (Disney+ Hotstar)

Released in 2023, Vikrant portrayed the real character of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma in 12th Fail. With his outstanding performance, the actor perfectly presented the real-life struggles of Manoj on the big screen. The film was critically acclaimed and became the talk of the town for a very long time. Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film also received a National Film Award as well as the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.

Hasseen Dillruba (Netflix)

For the first time, Vikrant played a grey character so strong that it shocked the viewers. In Hasseen Dillruba, the actor starred alongside Taapsee Pannu and Harshvardhan Rane. He played the character of Taapsee's protective and romantic husband who is a simple man but turns into a villain. The actor was also seen in the 2024 sequel, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, and once again was appreciated for his performance.

Broken But Beautiful (ZEE5, Jio Cinema, OTTplay Premium)

Vikrant Massey plays the character of Veer, a widower in the show which revolves around love and heartbreak. With his charming performance, Vikrant took over the OTT space with Harleen Sethi as the female lead. The actor delivered the perfect combination of grief and emotional depth.

Sector 36 (Netflix)

Vikrant stole the show with his negative character in this gritty thriller. His intense performance in the film keeps you on the edge of your seat. With Sector 36, the actor masterfully proved that he can play romantic, light-hearted as well as complex characters with ease.
