Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directed the 2017 romantic comedy-drama Bareilly Ki Barfi drawing inspiration from Nicolas Barreau's The Ingredients of Love. Farhad Samji directs Housefull 4 a fantasy action comedy film that Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios released in 2019. Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda are among the notable actors who star in the film, which is the fourth part of the Housefull series. Rebirth is a recurring theme in the story, as the nuptials of three sisters and three brothers take place. One brother, however, discovers, through a flashback to a long-ago era, that their present existence has confused their spouses.

Ashutosh Gowarikar directed Panipat a 2019 epic battle drama. Featuring Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon, and Arjun Kapoor, it tells the story of the Third Battle of Panipat. In 1761, the events depicted in The Great Betrayal took place as Maratha army commander Sadashiv Rao Bhau Peshwa led his men north of India to fight off an invasion by the Afghan king Ahmad Shah Abdali. Kriti plays Parvati Bai, the wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, portrayed by Arjun. At the box office, the film bombed.
Laxman Utekar directed, and Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films produced the 2021 comedy-drama Mimi. This film, which is a remake of the 2011 Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! stars Kriti Sanon as the titular character, who decides to carry a foreign couple's child during her pregnancy. An ensemble cast includes Sai Tamhankar, Pankaj Tripathi, Evelyn Edwards, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak, and Aidan Whytock. Kriti won Best Actress at the 69th National Film Awards. As the film follows a young actress from a small town who accepts to be a surrogate mother for a couple from out of town, unexpected events unfold.
Amar Kaushik directed the horror comedy Bhediya which hit theatres in 2022. Dinesh Vijan produced the film, which stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal, and Paalin Kabak, based on a screenplay and story by Niren Bhatt. The film's storyline is based on the Arunachal Pradeshi folktale about Yapum, a shapeshifting werewolf who is willing to kill for the cause of protecting the forest. Varun appears in the film opposite Kriti, who portrays Dr. Anya, a veterinarian.
In 2023, Rohit Dhawan helmed the action flick Shehzada. The film, which stars Kartik Aaryan, who made his film production debut, is a remake of the 2020 Telugu-language film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, and Ronit Roy play pivotal roles.

The Hindu epic Ramayana serves as the inspiration for the mythological action film Adipurush which debuted in 2023. Om Raut directs and co-writes the film. The film features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdutta Nage, shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. In this epic tale, Prabhas portrays Raghav, the exiled prince of Ayodhya, who teams up with a monkey army to free his bride Janaki (Kriti) from the evil king Raavan of Lanka (Saif), possessed by ten heads of demons. Upon its public release, Adipurush faced heavy criticism for its storyline, dialogue, and graphics. It turned out to be a financial disaster.
