After a long journey with modeling, Aishwarya Rai entered the film industry as an actor in the year 1997 with Mani Ratnam's Tamil film, Iruvar. She then made her Bollywood debut with Bobby Deol in the film Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film stars Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Zohra Sehgal, Vikram Gokhale, Smita Jaykar, Rekha Rao, and Rajeev Verma. When Nandini (Aishwarya) falls in love with her father's student Sameer (Salman), she is separated and forcefully married to Vanraj (Ajay). However, when Vanraj figures out about her broken love story, he decides to unite the lovers.

Taal on ZEE5

Directed by Subhash Ghai, Taal was released in 1999. The musical drama film revolves around Mansi (Aishwarya), who falls in love with Manav (Akshaye Khana). However, their love story quickly takes a wrong turn when Manav's rich family disapproves of their love and insults Mansi's father. Mansi then joins Vikrant (Anil Kapoor) and ends up becoming a popular singer. The film also stars Amrish Puri, Alok Nath, Mita Vashisht, Saurabh Shukla, and Prithvi Zutshi.

Devdas on Prime Video

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff, Kirron Kher, Smita Jaykar, Vijayendra Ghatge, Devdas was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is termed a classic film. The film tells the story of two lovers, Devdas (SRK) and Paro (Rai) who are unable to unite due to societal and familial pressures. Devdas then goes down to the path of self-destruction and eventually death. The film is based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel.

Jazbaa on ZEE5

Jazbaa is directed by Sanjay Gupta and stars Aishwarya, Irrfan Khan, and Shabana Azmi. The narrative of the film revolves around Anuradha (Rai), a criminal lawyer. When her daughter goes missing, she seeks help from a suspended police officer and friend, Yohan (Irrfan). Will Anuradha and Yohan save the daughter? Watch and know!

Jodhaa Akbar on Netflix

Set in the 16th century, the film is a historical story of Mughal Emperor Akbar (Hrithik Roshan) and Rajput Princess Jodha Bai (Aishwarya Rai).
