Aranmanai 4 ticks all the boxes of commercial cinema with elements of horror, comedy, drama, and dance sequences. The film is part of a successful Tamil franchise helmed by Sundar C.
Aranmanai 4, the Tamil movie that was released in theatres in May, is finally going to make its OTT debut on Friday on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is set to stream nearly two months after its release in theatres. While we are left with a day more to stream Aranmanai 4, here are five reasons why the film will suit your weekend watch.
The Aranmanai film franchise has seen four parts so far. While all the films deal with the common premise of a haunted bungalow and a revengeful ghost, Aranmanai 4 brings a twist to the tale by introducing the fresh concept of Baak, an entity feeding on human spirits. With this play, Aranmanai 4 differs largely from its template story and shifts to a more emotional story of a family that is haunted by the deadly entity.
Even though two leading ladies, Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna, are present in the film, Aranmanai 4 throws in a surprise. In the song Amman, veteran actors Khushbu and Simran appear for the dance sequence. This is definitely a plus point for the film, given it has been a long time we have seen Khushbu and Simran shake a leg together.

Aranmanai 4 is a full-blown commercial cinema. To support this, Sundar C has incorporated all elements of commercial aesthetics into the film. Even though it is billed as a horror film, Aranmanai 4 has lots of comedy, emotional drama, and typical song-and-dance moments so as to cater to all types of audiences.
Even though Tamil cinema has seen some film franchises, Aranmanai 4 is one of the most successful film franchises. Sundar C, who has helmed all four parts of the franchise, has also starred in the lead role. Aranmanai 4 became one of the first commercial blockbusters for Tamil cinema in 2024, which otherwise had a dry spell looming over the box office.
Aranmanai 4 features a cast comprising Sundar C, Raashii, Tamannaah, Santhosh Pratap, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, VTV Ganesh, and others. While the actors play their roles perfectly, Aranmanai 4 also boasts a stellar production with its elaborate sets and almost-true graphics. The climax portions of Aranmanai 4 feature grandeur in all forms, which turns out to be a visual treat.
