Gladiator II hit theaters in cinemas in India on November 15. Directed by Ridley Scott, the movie echoes the epic scale of the 2000 original, recapturing the glory of ancient Rome. The sequel focuses heavily on the grand action. The story follows Lucius (Paul Mescal), now called Hanno, who lives as a soldier in Numidia until General Marcus Acacius (Pedro Pascal) forces him back into the Roman Empire. Under Macrinus (Denzel Washington), Lucius re-enters the arena. He is driven to challenge young emperors Caracalla (Fred Hechinger) and Geta (Joseph Quinn) to fulfill his father Maximus’s vision of a Rome free from slavery.
