The Telugu film industry has been soaring high in the past couple of years, with its path-breaking content that has been pushing all creative and commercial boundaries. The Telugu cinema has created quite a massive fanbase across the globe, thanks to the wide possibilities offered by the OTT platforms.

Interestingly, leading OTT platform Netflix has now confirmed that things are getting more exciting for Tollywood in 2024. On the special occasions of Makar Sankranthi and Pongal, the OTT giant took to their official social media handles and treated fans with back-to-back massive updates. Netflix revealed its massive upcoming movies list for 2024, leaving the cine-goers all excited.

Now, let’s have a look at the most-awaited upcoming Telugu films to watch on Netflix...

Salaar

The Prabhas-starrer mass action film, which is helmed by hitmaker Prashanth Neel, is finally gearing up for its massive OTT release on Netflix. Salaar, which also stars Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran in a pivotal role, is slated to get released on the popular OTT platform. Salaar will have its OTT release mostly on of Republic Day 2024 and will stream on Netflix in four languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The makers are expected to officially announce the OTT release date of Salaar very soon.

Pushpa 2

The Allu Arjun-starrer, which is unarguably one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2024, is gearing up for an August release. Interestingly, Netflix has now confirmed that Pushpa 2: The Rule will stream on the platform after the theatrical run in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Reportedly, the OTT rights of the Sukumar directorial have been bagged by the prestigious platform for a record price. The OTT release date and other details are expected to be out after the theatrical release of the film.

Devara

The post-theatrical OTT rights of Jr. NTR and Koratala Siva’s highly anticipated project are also bagged by Netflix. The OTT giant took to their official social media handles today (January 15, 2024), and announced the exciting news with a special update. Devara will be available for streaming on Netflix in five languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The highly anticipated project, which will hit the theatres in April, is expected to have its OTT release by May 2024.

Vijay Deverakonda’s VD 12

The upcoming cop thriller, which stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, will also stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. The untitled Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial, which stars Sreeleela as the female lead, is now nearing the final stages of its filming. If the reports are to be believed, VD 12 is gearing up to hit the theatres in April, this year. After the theatrical run, the movie will stream on Netflix in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

NBK 109

The upcoming Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer, which marks the senior actor’s 109th outing in cinema, will also stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. The Naga Vamsi directorial, which is touted to be an action thriller, will be available for streaming in five languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

Buddy

The Allu Sirish-starrer, which is touted to be a fantasy comedy drama, will stream on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages after its theatrical run. The Sam Anton directorial, which is bankrolled by Studio Green, is slated to release by the second half of 2024.

Gangs Of Godavari

The Vishwak Sen project, which is touted to be a period action film set in the Godavari coastal region of the 1980s, will also stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. The Krishan Chaitanya directorial will available for streaming in four languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Tillu Square

The Siddhu Jonnalagadda-starrer, which is a sequel to the 2022-released hit film DJ Tillu, is also slated to stream on Netflix after its theatrical release. Anupama Parameswaran is playing the female lead in the Mallik Ram directorial, which will stream in five major Indian languages.

GA2 Pictures' Production No. 9

The untitled movie, which is touted to be an action thriller, stars Narne Nithin and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles. The movie will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the untitled action thriller, which stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the lead role, are also bagged by Netflix. More updates on the project, which is slated to stream on four languages, are expected to be out soon.

Kartikeya Gummakonda’s UV Creations Production 12

The untitled Kartikeya Gummakonda-starrer, which is expected to be a romantic action drama, will also stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. Netflix has confirmed that it has bagged the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi streaming rights of the film.
