From Vishwambhara to HanuMan sequel, here is the list of Telugu biggies to release during Sankranthi 2025

Sankranthi 2024 is turning out to be a solid season as the films released are making big numbers. Here's looking at the films lined up for Sankranthi 2025.

Sankranthi 2025

Sankranthi is one of the most lucrative seasons for films to release in Tollywood. Every year there are close to four or five films that get released between the dates of January 12-15 which marks the festive weekend and is celebrated on a grand note in Telugu states.

There is always competition for biggies to lock the release dates of their films during this season and in 2024, we saw as many as four films, HanuMan, Naa Saami Ranga, Saindhav, and Guntur Kaaram fighting it out at the box office.

Seeing the way these films have performed, there is a massive fight for the year 2025 already. A few films have already been confirmed for the Sankranthi 2025 and let's look at the projects set to release during this time.

Vishwambhara

Vishwambhara is megastar Chiranjeevi's latest film that is being made on a massive scale. Vassishta, the director of Bimbisara, is helming this fantasy drama that will release during the Sankranthi season of 2025. MM Keeravani will compose music for this film, which has Mrunal Thakur as the female lead.

Shatamanam Bhavati 2

Shatamanam Bhavati was a big hit in 2017 and was released as a Sankranthi special in the same year. The makers of the film have announced a sequel on the occasion of Sankranthi 2024 and have surprised one and all. The makers did not reveal the cast or the director of this film but confirmed that Shatamanam Bhavati 2 will be released during Sankranthi 2025.

Akhanda 2

Akanda was a massive hit at the box office and once again proved that the combination of Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu can never go wrong. Well, there is news that the same combo will join hands again for Akhanda 2 soon and the film will be released during Sankranthi 2025.

Bangarraju sequel

Nagarjuna's Bangarraju was itself a sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana which was a 2022 Sankranthi release. Now, the sequel to Bangarraju will be made soon and as per the update, Nagarjuna will star and produce this film on a massive budget. The makers are in plans to release the film during the Sankranthi season of 2025.

HanuMan sequel

HanuMan has shocked everyone with the way it is performing at the box office. The makers have revealed that there will be multiple films made in this franchise and the sequel will go on floors soon. The sequel to HanuMan will have a popular hero playing a superhero in this film. HanuMan 2 will be released as Sankranthi 2025 special.
