Rajavinte Makan narrated the story of a notorious gangster Vincent Gomas, his rivalry with Kerala Home Minister N Krishnadas (Ratheesh), and his unrequited love for Adv. Nancy (Ambika), who is a single mother.

Mohanlal and Priyadarshan, the actor-director duo who produced some of the finest comedies in Malayalam cinema, broke the hearts of audiences with the 1986-released tragedy drama, Thalavattam. The superstar played the role of Vinod, who loses his mental balance after his girlfriend Anitha (Lissy) dies in an electric short circuit accident. Even though Vinod recovers with the help of Dr. Savithri (Karthika), with whom he also falls in love, tragedy strikes yet again.

Mohanlal delivered one of the finest performances of his acting career in this 1992-released psychological drama, which is penned by legend MT Vasudevan Nair, and directed by Sibi Malayil. The veteran actor played the role of Sathyanathan, who is awaiting capital punishment for murdering four people including two little girls, in a desperate attempt to save them from their cruel fate.

However, Jeevan’s life takes a different turn when two jobless youngsters named Porinju and Kanthi (Ashokan and Maniyanpilla Raju), and a European tourist named Fabien, enter his life.

This 1992-released Kamal directorial, which is penned by P Balachandran featured Mohanlal in the role of Dr. Sunny, a psychiatrist. The psychological thriller revolves around Dr. Sunny’s ever-evolving bond with a patient named Reshma (played by Amala Akkineni), who ends up killing his girlfriend-turned-wife Annie (played by Shobana).
