Directed by Mithran Jawahar, Thiruchitrambalam is headlined by Dhanush who plays the role of Pazham, a food delivery executive who lives with his father (Prakash Raj) and grandfather (Bhararthiraja). The romantic drama is about the trials and tribulations of Pazham falling in love. The film also stars Nithya Menen, Raashii Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others. Thiruchitrambalam is one of the rare films to portray three generations of men living in a household of no women.

Pokkiri

Headlined by Vijay, this action drama is a cat-and-mouse chase between a crime lord and a police officer under mufti. The film has Asin as the female lead. Pokkiri is a blockbuster success in Vijay’s career, with Prakash Raj bringing out his villainy performance once again. The film is directed by Prabhudheva.

Anniyan

Anniyan is a vigilante action drama, starring Vikram in the lead role. The film is directed by Shankar and also stars Prakash Raj, Sadha, Vivekh and others. Anniyan is about a timid man who hails from a privileged background and finds society not abiding by rules irking. As he develops multiple personality disorder, his other characters take the form of his innermost desires, to get rid of corruption and win over his lady love. Prakash Raj plays the role of a police officer who is in charge of the series of murders that take place in the story.

Vasool Raja MBBS

Vasool Raja MBBS is about a local thug who joins a medical college in order to deceive his father and hide his true profession. Headlined by Kamal Haasan, the film stars Prakash Raj as the antagonist whose character provides enough drama and comedy to the storyline. Nagesh, Sneha, Jayasuriya, Prabhu and others also star in this film directed by Saran. It is a remake of the 2003 Hindi film Munna Bhai MBBS.

M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi

M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi is about a boxing champion, who is raised by a single mother. After she dies, the son learns that his father, who is also a boxing champion who lives abroad with another family. The family drama revolves around the dysfunctional relationship between a father and son as the latter gets trained by his father to win a tournament. The film stars Jayam Ravi, Asin, Nadhiya and others.
