Netflix decided to surprise everyone this Father's day not with a film or series, but a new rap song. The rap music titled Baap Maan was released on the OTT giant’s YouTube channel and Instagram.

Watch the music video here:

This rap song is more than what you see on the outside. If you listen closely, you will be able to understand that the lyrics from the rap are a tribute to Netflix's huge library. Whether shows, movies or characters from hit Netflix series, all of it has been neatly merged into the lyrics along with clips of the same being shown in the music video. From The Queen’s Gambit to Lost in Space, Stranger Things and even the latest Jagame Thandiram, make it to the rap song. That's not all! You also get glimpses of Sacred Games, Money Heist, Breaking Bad, Everest , AK Vs AK and Ghoul in the video.

The music video features popular comedians from the country like Samay Raina, Aishwarya Mohanraj and Aakash Gupta rapping to music by Sez On The Beat. The lyrics for the song were also written by Aakash Gupta, Aishwarya Mohanraj, Samay Raina and Yungi. Ritwik Ghosh has directed the music video.

Netflix premiered the music video on Youtube on June 20 with the caption: “Dekh kya rahe ho? Baap aayein hai. This Father's Day, we're not just celebrating all the baaps, but also being baap.”

This is the first time that the streaming giant has gone out of its way and promoted a rap song on their platform, even if it is just on their YouTube channel.
