Lionsgate Play announces the premiere of 60 English titles over one year

It's been nearly a year since Lionsgate Play made it to India. The streaming platform has movies and TV shows from India as well as across the globe. Now, the OTT platform has announced its slate for one whole year and include 60 English titles. A few of them include The Father for which Sir Anthony Hopkins won the Best Actor Award at the Oscars. Every Friday, a new title will be dropped which has excited the fans.

Titles namely Cold Pursuit, Dr Death, Spiral, Way Down, Till Death, Vigil, Heels, The Pier and Spy City will be released every week on Lionsgate Play in the coming days.

Talking about the same, Amit Dhanuka, who is the Executive Vice President at Lionsgate told PTI, "Curated by the best studios we are looking at strengthening our content slate with edgy, bold, and strong storylines."

He called The Father his personal favourite and added that keeping the user's preference in mind the streaming platform will continue to localise the content in six Indian languages. They want the viewers to enjoy the best of Hollywood in a language of their preference.

Dhanuka also said that towards the end of the year they will be ready to top the offering with Indian Originals as well.

A few shows are currently being shot exclusively for Lionsgate Play to stream, including Kunal Kohli's directorial starring Lara Dutta. The actor has been sharing several BTS videos from the sets on her Instagram page.

Even Akarsh Khurana is helming a series titled U-Special that has an ensemble cast namely Sumeet Vyas, Arjun Mathur, Parambrata Chatterjee, Rukshar Dhillon, Taaruk Raina, Gopal Datt and Ahsaas Channa. The multistarrer series is the Indian adaptation of Casual which is a Hulu original show.

Lionsgate Play offers a yearly subscription of Rs 699.
