The movie is scheduled to make its digital premiere on aha, on January 13. Directed by Ananda Bada, the film also features Uttej, Tagubothu Ramesh, Kunal Kaushik, and Prem Suman in key roles.

The plot, set in the Old City of Hyderabad, follows Shiva (Karthik) and Noorjahan (Supyardee), who have been head over heels in love with each other since their childhood days. But circumstances force Noorjahan to travel to Dubai. The movie explores the couple’s journey and the challenges they face when Noorjahan’s brother, Anwar, opposes their love.

Lingoccha had received lukewarm response at the box office

Although the trailer of the Karthik starrer promised a compelling watch, the film received lukewarm response from the viewers and critics after its release in the cinemas. However, the film is expected to pick up upon its OTT release.

Karthik Rathnam on his journey from the stage to cinema: I find films more difficult than theatre

Former theatre artiste Karthik rose to fame with the Maha Venkatesh-directed 2018 film C/O Kancharapalem. He later went on to do noteworthy roles in his movie career.

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, the actor revealed how his transition to cinema had affected him. “After the theatre stint, I did a few roles in my childhood and teenage years in Bhairava, Nagaram Nidrapotunna Vela, Gang Stars and Social, before C/O Kancharapalem happened. It took me a lot of time to adapt to films after theatre. I find films more difficult than theatre. Even when the same sequence is shot after a 20-day gap, you need to maintain the same emotion,” Karthik elaborated.
