The sixth episode of ‘Like Flowers in Sand’ premiered on Netflix with more secrets unveiled and a cliffhanger episode ending. Kim Jin-woo serves as the director, and roped in the promising cast, with Jang Dong-yoon and Yoon Jong-seok in leading roles. The sports drama also featured Kim Bo-ra, Lee Jae-joon, and others in other pivotal roles.

The small community of Geosan gets shaken up after two mysterious deaths engulf the town.

Like Flowers in Sand Story
The latest episode titled “What cannot be hidden” - delves into the secrets of the past slowly creeping out in twisted forms. The story begins with another childhood flashback which shows the excited kids having a conversation with their master as he asks for a volunteer captain. As the little hand of Baek-du rises, Do-sik mutters in anger ‘for his stupidity.’ Then the narrative fast forwards to the present day where Baek-du reveals that he came to help Do-sik get closer to the hidden truth and his intentions are clear. Thus, slashing all romantic speculations by the fans and even Do-sik.
The next events witness the championship games racing against the clock as the players are gearing up for them. However, Jin-su revokes Baek-du's participation in the sports competition and rather asks him to focus and practice effectively. This gets him all disheartened but Do-sik attempts to change his fate as she talks Jin-su out and the episode ends up with Baek-du confronting his estranged friend and Ssireum coach Jin-su to let him participate. It is also revealed that Hyeon-uk is suspicious of Yu-Gyeong and faces off to reveal her real identity as Du-sik.

As the new episode unfolds, we inch closer to solving the mysterious death of Choi Chil-Seong and the darker secrets of match-fixing. The episode brings depth to the narrative of the estranged friendship between Baek-du and Jin-su. From their bitter conversations as the player-coach to their confrontation in the last few seconds citing the childhood flashbacks, the episode added another layer after the mysterious and romantic storyline. Overall, the latest episode was brimming with emotions between childhood friends, coworkers, as well as unlikely lovers. However, fans will have to wait for the upcoming episodes to see the romance brewing between the leads and the intense sports championship games that would seal the fate of Baek-du's sports dream and reputation.
