Disney and Pixar’s sci-fi action-adventure Lightyear is helmed by award-winning director and veteran Pixar animator Angus MacLane and produced by Galyn Susman
To infinity and beyond! Disney and Pixar are now presenting a prequel to the upcoming Toy Story with the film Lightyear. The trailer of the film was just released by the makers, promising a sci-fi action-adventure movie. It tells the story of the real Buzz Lightyear, which will be voiced by none other than Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

The actor had earlier issued a statement about the film. According to Indiewire, he was quoted as saying that it was a dream come true for him to work with Pixar. "Anyone who knows me knows that my love for animated films runs deep. I can’t believe that I get to be a part of the Pixar family and work with these truly brilliant artists who tell stories unlike anyone else. Watching them work is nothing short of magic. I pinch myself every day,” he had said.
Disney is sure that the film will win the hearts of millions and that the 'legendary space ranger would win generations of fans'. The film is helmed by Annie Award-winning director and veteran Pixar animator Angus MacLane and is produced by Galyn Susman.
The feature film Lightyear is scheduled for release on June 17, 2022.
