Liger: Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday starrer breaks Pan India record

Liger has already become a project that fans from across the country are eagerly waiting for. The sports drama starring Vijay Deverakonda has also been grabbing people's attention with its promotions and announcements.

The latest is that the movie has broken a Pan Indian record. The makers yesterday released a promotional video titled Glimpse of LIGER, which has now gone on to set a new benchmark for the Pan Indian film records.

Glimpse of LIGER has set a record for most views in 24 hours. The video achieved this while breaking the previous record in just seven hours. The video clocked in 16 million views in 24 hours and is trending on YouTube.

The video also showed big promise on Twitter, with #LigerFirstGlimpse trending on all states in the country, which is a rare feat.

Released as a New Year gift to the fans, the video gave a look into the movie. Vijay Deverakonda comes up with all guns blazing in an action avatar and impresses with his physique. With glimpses of the MMA set up, it also gives a look into the life of the fighter, who is referred to as ‘Slum Dog of the streets of Mumbai’ and ‘The Chai Wala”.

Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger looks stylish and has some great action choreography. Deverakonda looks fit to play the part and the fans can expect a sports drama.

The project is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar and Jagannadh under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.

Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, Liger will be released across the country in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Also starring Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, the movie has an extended cameo from boxing legend Mike Tyson.
