Liger trailer: Vijay Deverakonda is a fiery mix of power and swagger as he roars his way to the top

The film’s trailer was unveiled on Thursday by Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Dulquer Salmaan and Ranveer Singh in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

After quite a long and arduous wait, viewers have finally gotten a potent glance into the fierce and fiery world of Liger. As promised, the makers unveiled the film’s trailer today, which takes viewers through the journey of the Saala Crossbreed, the Liger himself, essayed by Vijay Deverakonda.

The trailer certainly makes it known that the film does not intend to pull its punches to give the audiences a visual treat. The trailer takes a deep dive into the world of Deverakonda’s Liger, a chaiwala who dreams of representing his country in the MMA championships and earning the coveted championship title. From being unlucky in love to dealing with a debilitating stammer, the hero’s journey towards success is anything but smooth.

But not even the most arduous of challenges cant seem to stop him in his tracks. The trailer also reveals the significance of the protagonist’s name, where his mother is heard saying “My son is a crossbreed, born to a lion and a tiger”. A charismatic appearance by boxing legend Mike Tyson also cinches that audiences can expect nothing short of a thrill ride.

The trailer was unveiled at a grand event in Hyderabad today. Chiranjeevi and Prabhas unveiled the Telugu trailer of the pan India film, while Dulquer Salmaan and Ranveer Singh released the Malayalam and Hindi versions. In addition to Deverakonda, the upcoming film also stars Ananya Panday as the female lead. Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishna Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu also essay pivotal roles in Liger.

Puri Jagannadh has written and directed the film and is also a producer on it as well. Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta produce the film under the banners of Puri Connects and Dharma Productions.

Liger will hit the silver screens on August 25, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
