Ananya Panday is going full swing, preparing for her upcoming film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. The film will mark her second collaboration with her Gehraiyaan co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi. She is also gearing up for the release of Liger, opposite Vijay Deverakonda. In a recent interaction, the Pati, Patni Aur Woh actor talked about remakes and how she wishes that the trend of remakes dies down.
The actor was speaking to ETimes when she expressed her views about the trend and hoped that she could do more original and fresh content for her audience. She further said she is not sure how she felt about remakes anymore but one thing is for sure, she does not want to see any more of them. The Gehraiyaan actor said, "I'm hoping that we don't make any more remakes. I'm really happy with this. This path that we're going down where we're kind of telling an original, braver, complex story. So, I'm kind of in that phase where I don't really want to see more remakes."
She was trying to be diplomatic in her response to the trend of Bollywood filmmakers remaking south Indian films. She said the filmmakers know what the audience wants. "They create some different kind of magic as well. I personally don't know how I feel about remakes anymore," she added.
The actor is meanwhile, awaiting the release of her film Liger, opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The Puri Jagannadh's film also stars former world champion boxer, Mike Tyson. Ananya and Vijay were recently spotted together having long chats at producer Apoorva Mehta's birthday bash in Mumbai.
