The cast and crew of Liger commenced the film promotions in Telugu states at Warangal on Sunday
The entire team of Liger, from Vijay Deverakonda to Ananya Panday and Puri Jagannadh, are in the middle of an extensive promotional campaign to spread the word about the film across the length and breadth of the country. The cast and crew of Liger were at Warangal yesterday, commencing their promotions in the Telugu states.
At the event Vijay Deverakonda said, “I only experienced love wherever I’ve travelled in India, people have come in great numbers. However, all of it started first in the Telugu land and I’ll never forget that. Liger’s story is about a mother and a son who leave Karimnagar and go to Mumbai with big dreams and fight their destiny. I feel blessed to be delivering the dialogues of Puri Jagannadh.”
On his favourite dialogue in the film, the star said, “The dialogues goes like..We are Indians.. Podham Kotladudham... Aag Hai Andhar. Duniyako Aag laga Denge. Sab ki Waat Laga Denge. I have no doubts about the film; it is a blockbuster and the entire country will agree with it shortly. We’ll strike together on August 25. I am thankful to team Liger and audience.”
Vijay expressed discomfort on being called a ‘superstar’ and feels he has a long way to go before he earns the label. Puri Jagannath, meanwhile, stated, “My wife had asked me to watch Arjun Reddy many years ago and I stopped watching it after 45 minutes. Vijay just blew me away and he acted in it so honestly. I decided I had to do a film with film, his honesty will stand out in Liger too.”
Puri Jagannath mentioned that Vijay is an actor who understands the producer well and keeps the film ahead of himself. He thanked the actor for standing by him through his thick and thin. The filmmaker credited Charmee for bringing Mike Tyson on board for Liger and shared it was ‘unbelievable’ working with him. “Liger is a fully loaded masala film. You need to catch it in theatres,” he asserted.
Ananya Pandey thanked the crowds for the warm reception for team Liger. “I wish to be a part of the Telugu film family. I feel blessed to have made my Telugu debut with Liger. It was my pleasure to work with Vijay Deverakonda, director Puri Jagannath and Mike Tyson. Liger is a massy, commercial film and you’ll have fun,” she assured. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions are jointly producing the film.
