It remains to be seen whether LGM will find a wider acceptance following its digital release.
LGM, which is short for Lets Get Married, is a Tamil romantic comedy. Starring Harish Kalyan and Ivana in the lead roles, the movie is written and directed by Ramesh Tamilmani. It's also a special movie as it marked cricket great MS Dhoni's debut as a producer. And Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni has also been credited as one of the writers of the movie.
LGM was released in cinemas at the end of July. And received a lukewarm response at the box office. It remains to be seen whether it will find a wider acceptance following its digital release.
LGM became available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday.

LGM fails to impress critics
Even though the trailer of LGM promised a light-hearted, feel-good romantic drama, the movie failed to strike a chord with the movie-going audience after its initial release in cinemas. The movie received poor ratings from critics, who thought the movie was deeply formulaic.
"LGM is marred by cliches and forced humour at every nook and corner that it soon begins to get vexatious. The scene where an old man constantly asks the bus driver to make a pitstop for his loo break gets on your nerves. Do people still find toilet humour funny? Moreover, Nadiya and Ivana keep pronouncing 'rendu' as 'randu' (the Malayalam way) which adds to the superficiality considering the characters are all Tamil. There is no chemistry between the lead pair either. And the songs come as speed breakers with none of them making an impact," read OTTplay review of LGM.
MS Dhoni about LGM
The former Indian skipper was very upbeat about the movie before its release. He noted that he enjoyed the movie with his daughter, underlining that LGM was meant to be enjoyed with family. He also expressed his gratitude for beginning his jury in cinema with a Tamil movie.
