The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film Leo is giving a tough competition to the other two major Telugu releases - Tiger Nageswara Rao and Bhagavanth Kesari
Leo, Tiger Nageswara Rao and Bhagavanth Kesari are the three major Telugu releases that graced the screens this Dussehra. Vijay, Ravi Teja and Nandamuri Balakrishna jointly treated their fans and movie lovers to a lavish dose of action and entertainment this festive season. With all these movies making an impression, let’s check out which film is leading the box office race!
Leo enters the ₹200 crore club in three days
According to Leo’s production house, Seven Screen Studio, the Vijay-starrer earned ₹148.5 crore on Day 1 at the box office worldwide. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film continues to maintain strong numbers in Tamil Nadu. Going by the Day 3 collections, the movie has crossed the ₹200 crore mark at the global box office. So far, the film has amassed a net global box office collection of ₹212.70 crore, as reported by the trade portal Sacnilk.
Bhagavanth Kesari’s Day 3 collections so far
On the other hand, Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipud, witnessed a modest increase in its performance on the second day in the Telugu states. According to Sacnilk, the film grossed ₹71.02 crores worldwide, by collecting approximately ₹6 crores worldwide on Day 3. Given the festive season, the Balakrishna-starrer would need a significant boost to secure a comfortable breakeven with other films at the box office.

Tiger Nageswara Rao shows a decline at BO; makers to screen trimmed version
Meanwhile, the Ravi Teja-starrer Tiger Nageswara Rao, which opened to mixed reviews, experienced a significant decline in attendance during the noon shows on the second day. However, the night shows managed to draw in a decent number of audiences, resulting in strong collections. Unlike the other two films, Tiger Nageswara Rao, which released on October 20, performed well on Day 1 at the box office, earning ₹6.55. So far, the film has earned ₹4.13 crore in India on its second day, collecting a total of around ₹8 crores worldwide.
The makers have now decided to screen a trimmed version of the film, as they are optimistic about seeing improved numbers at the box office. However, with statistics favouring Leo, it’s clear that the Kollywood film is outnumbering the other two major Telugu releases, emerging to be the clear winner in the box office race.
