The film, starring Vijay and Trisha, released to packed houses today
Thalapathy Vijay's Leo, which is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, opened to packed theatres today. The film is said to be one of the most hyped projects of Thalapathy and has already set a record sales on the opening day. Meanwhile, the film's crew watched the FDFS of the show along with the fans.

Celebrities watch FDFS in Chennai
The film's leading lady Trisha was spotted at Rohini Silver Screen and she seemed extremely delighted as she chatted away with her friends before the show. She was also seen greeting her fans. The film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj and music composer Anirudh Ravichander watched the show along with fans. Keerthy Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Kathir were also spotted watching the film. Director Karthik Subbaraj watched the film with Leo actor Mansoor Ali Khan at Kamala Cinemas.
Celebrities wish the team
The film fraternity has wished the Leo team the very best. Karthik Subbaraj, who used a Jigarthanda Double X poster with Leo coin in it, wrote, "Team #JigarthandaDoubleX wishes team #LEO A Super Block O Blockbuster (sic).
Arjun Das, who has been part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe in Kaithi, Vikram and Master, wrote, "Wishing a few of my favourites an absolute at the box office (sic)."

Kalyani Priyadarshan, who watched the film, wrote her review, "BADASS MAAA! that’s it. That’s the tweet. #Leo (sic)."

Film opens to mixed reviews
Meanwhile, the film has opened to mixed reviews from the audience. While critics have called Leo, an average fare and not worth the hype, audiecne have stated that Leo is a one-man show by Vijay and that Lokesh doesn't quite deliver this time.
