It's almost six weeks to the release of Thalapathy Vijay's Leo to hit screens but the film has already begun shattering records at the box office. Leo, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is all set to hit screens on October 19. The film, bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and The Route, is said to be one of the biggest releases of the year.
First film to start advance booking six weeks ahead of release?
According to the makers of Leo, the Vijay film is the first Tamil project to begin advance booking six weeks ahead of the release. And they also stated that more than 10,000 tickets were sold in a span of 24 hours. Seven Screen Studio's official handle shared a post, which read, "Eyyy ella oorum namma rules #Leo is the first Indian film to open UK bookings 6 weeks before release & shatter records with 10k+ tickets sold in just 24 hours Nanba, kondadi kolutha get ready we’re opening in other countries very sooon Power kick-u @ahimsafilms (sic)."
Ahimsa Entertainment, which is distributing Leo in the UK market had shared on its social media, "Wow, what a response! #LEO's UK ticket sales are on fire. Shows are filling up in less than 30 minutes, and there's still over 40 days to go. #Thalapathy craze (sic)!
Post-production for Leo underway
The team is currently busy with the post production, and the promotions are said to begin at the earliest . Meanwhile, the film's music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who is now basking in the success of Jailer, has stated that the update on the next single from Leo is expected to be out in a week's time. Manoj Paramahamsa has handled the cinematography and Philomin Raj has handled the editing.

The film has an ensemble cast comprising Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Sandy Master, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Priya Anand to name a few.
