Leo star Thalapathy Vijay was all praise for Suriya's Rolex in Vikram, says Lokesh Kanagaraj

The director is now awaiting the release of Leo which is arriving on October 19,

Kollywood buffs are awaiting an official update on the FDFS time of Leo in Tamil Nadu. Fans of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are keeping their fingers crossed. The film is expected to take a humongous opening at the box office worldwide and cinephiles are eagerly looking forward to the numbers.

The mystery behind the movie is the suspense associated with LCU. The makers are yet to reveal much about the same, though Lokesh has promised that the last 40 minutes will have various surprises for fans.

Film enthusiasts can't stop guessing about the surprises Lokesh has offered. Some opine that one of the characters among Vikram, Dilli, Amar, Sandanam and Rolex from the filmmaker's previous outings would make a small appearance. Amid several assumptions and theories doing the rounds on social media, Lokesh has now revealed something that has left fans thrilled.

He said that Vijay was all praise for the character Rolex played by Suriya in Vikram. He added that Thalapathy specifically mentioned the Kanguva star's name after watching the Kamal Haasan-starrer. "He loved Rolex's look and the way with which Suriya pulled off the role," Lokesh said.

Lokesh to team up with Suriya after Thalaivar 171 and Kaithi 2

The director, who was supposed to join hands with Karthi for Kaithi 2, had to postpone the project as Rajinikanth requested him to do a film for him. Tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, the movie will begin after a few months.

Lokesh will begin the spin-off of Rolex with Suriya later, a project that many are eagerly waiting for. However, it isn't sure if the duo will team up for the dream project Irumbu Kai Mayavi.
