The team is gearing up to begin the next leg of its Chennai shoot schedule
As the team of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo gears up for the next leg of the Chennai schedule, director and actor Mysskin has made a mass statement about the film. The director took part in the Tamil Producer Sangam Elections held today in Chennai. Speaking the media later, Myssking stated that Leo was shaping up in an extraordinary manner.
He said, "I am appearing only in a small role, but it's quite an interesting character. I am glad to have spent time with Vijay after many years. My thambi (younger brother) Vijay took good care of me and was very warm-hearted. He hasn't changed one bit even after twenty years. I could feel the same love and that was a huge surprise." It is to be noted that Vijay and Mysskin had worked together in the feel-good drama Youth. Mysskin had made a special appearance in the film.
Talking about the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Mysskin said, "I don't have to say much about Lokesh Kanagaraj. He's a sweet lad. He treated me with high regard and esteem."
Mysskin also stated that the film will be high on action. "When Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj come together, what else can we expect? It's a very interesting film, actually," he said.
When quizzed about his film as a director, Mysskin stated that he was looking for a producer. Mysskin was supposed to direct the detective film Thuppaki 2 and had even done a recce of the locations and dropped pictures from there. However, he walked out of the film after creative differences with Vishal. The film will now be helmed by Vishal himself, marking his debut as a director.
Leo marks Vijay's second collaboration after their hit film Master. While Vijay played an alcoholic professor in the film, Vijay Sethupathi played Bhavani, a dreaded gangster who deals with drugs.
