Thalapathy Vijay's Leo surprisingly found a wider acceptance in North Indian states despite no major promotions targeting the Hindi-speaking audience.
Netflix on Monday confirmed the digital premiere date for the highly anticipated film Leo, starring Thalapathy Vijay. The Hindi version of this blockbuster movie will start streaming on the platform on November 24. The film will also be available for streaming in other South Indian languages for subscribers within India.
However, fans outside India will have to wait one more week before they can stream Leo from the comfort of their homes. The global digital debut of Leo is scheduled to take place on November 28.
Leo is the original Tamil film, boasting a star-studded cast led by Vijay. The film created a new benchmark for Tamil films at the global box office. It's worth noting that Leo became the biggest Tamil earner in the Hindi belt after a long time.

According to reports, Leo managed to earn more than Rs 40 crore from its ticket sales in North India —an achievement unmatched by recent Tamil blockbusters. This success assumes significance given that the producers made no major investment in promoting the movie for the Hindi-speaking audience.
In the meantime, Leo was shunned by national multiplex chains, limiting it to single-screen theatres in North Indian states. The film faced a ban by the cinema chains due to its shorter OTT release window. Nonetheless, Leo became the highest-grossing film in Vijay career by raking in more than Rs 612 crore from its worldwide ticket sales.
Along with the release date, Netflix also unveiled a brand new trailer for Leo.
