They believe it is the political pressure that made the makers cancel the event,
Vijay and Udhayanidhi
The makers of Leo announced yesterday night that the film's audio launch has been canceled. Many fans of Vijay are yet to come to terms with this reality but are hopeful that the team will come up with promo materials in the coming days. The event was supposed to happen on September 30.
Fans, who were waiting to listen to their matinee idol's speech, are thoroughly disappointed and have been taking to Twitter to express their anger. Though the producers cited security as the reason behind their decision, many aren't ready to digest it.
Leo: Furious Vijay fans troll Udhayanidhi, trend #DMKFearsThalapathyVIJAY
Several fans believe that it is the pressure from DMK, the ruling party in Tamil Nadu, that has made the makers cancel the event at the last minute. A few days ago, a leading political activist informed everyone that the political party is arm-twisting the makers to offer theatrical rights of the movie to Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies.
Though the production house immediately clarified that the news was baseless, the decision regarding the event has raised eyebrows. Moreover, Vijay's political ambition is said to be another reason for the party to deny permission for the audio event.
Will Udhay react to the speculation?
Fans of Vijay have been pointing fingers at Udhayanidhi and opine that the latter is behind the makers' decision to opt out of organizing the event. They have started trolling Udhayanidhi and have been saying that the result of Leo and Vijay's increasing popularity among voters will teach the party a lesson in the next Assembly Elections.
