Leo first single Naa Ready release date: Thalapathy Vijay is a gun-toting daredevil in latest poster

Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj on Friday sprung a surprise update for his fans about his upcoming movie Leo . he revealed that the first single from the movie named Naa Ready will be released on June 22, coinciding with the birthday celebration of Thalapathy Vijay. While announcing the update, Lokesh also tweeted a new poster, showing Vijay wielding a gun amid a celebratory dance.

Composer Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for Leo. Has Vijay himself sung the song? We don't have that information at the moment.

Leo marks the second collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh Kangaraj after the blockbuster hit Master. Lokesh has described Leo as a "100 per cent Lokesh movie," indicating that he has had the freedom to create the film he wants after the success of Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan.

The film is being produced on a grand scale, and the makers have taken extra measures to safeguard the sanctity of the project. Leo is touted to expand the cinematic universe of drug lords and heroic spies created by Lokesh.

After shooting for the movie in the Kashmir valley for more than 50 days, the filming is now happening in Chennai.

Besides Vijay, Leo boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, and Mathew Thomas among others. In addition, Lokesh has also roped in some popular YouTubers for cameo appearances.

Leo is due in cinemas in October this year.
