Telugu cinema has lost yet another legendary actor. Chandra Mohan, the popular actor from the 70s, breathed his last in Hyderabad today

In what could be said as the end of an era, legendary Tollywood actor, Chandra Mohan passed away today at a private hospital in Hyderabad due to heart-relaetd issues. He was 82 and had been sick for the last two years or so.
Chandra Mohan is survived by his wife and two daughters. As per the latest update, his funeral will be held on Monday in Hyderabad as a few of his family members need to come from abroad. With the passing away of Chandra Mohan, Telugu cinema has lost one of its finest talents.

Chandra Mohan was known for his jovial nature and comedy timing in his films. Born as Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao on 23 May 1943, in Pamidimukkala village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Mohan was introduced to the Telugu film industry through the film Rangula Ratnam in 1966.
In 1968, he starred in Sukha Duhkalu, as the caring brother of Vanisri, for which he received multiple awards. After playing the main lead for over two decades, Chandra Mohan transformed into a character actor and received a lot of fame for his comedy roles in Telugu.
One of his iconic hits in his career was Padaharella Vayasu which was the debut film of Sridevi as a solo lead. Chandra Mohan acted in over 900 films as an actor and 175 films as a hero. He was a loved personality and never interfered in any controversy in his entire career.
