A creative-commercial endeavor, BookMyShow is to produce and promote Bandland in Bangalore, for its maiden year. The musical festival promises to commemorate the musical and cultural diversity of music, as well as its mesmerizing variety.

The event will be for two days, December 16 and 17, at the Embassy International Riding School Ground, Bengaluru. This opening edition of the festival will feature an impressive portfolio of International and Indian, rock and indie performers, 12 performing groups in total.

Who all will be performing?

Renowned bands like British band Deep Purple, known for popular songs like Highway Star and Smoke On The Water, and American alt-rock band Goo Goo Dolls, adored for late-Nineties global hit Iris, are set to perform in India. Sharing the stage with them on the international front, are American band The War on Drugs, and Australian punk rock band Amyl and The Sniffers.

On the Indian side, there is a plethora of old elite as well as aspiring prodigies that the festival will highlight and showcase. Famous for their fusion music, Parikrama and Thermal and a Quarter, will be headlining with the Deep Purple for the second time in India. Other prominent bands include Parvaaz, The F16s, Aswekeepsearching, Skrat, Pacifist, and The Earth Below.

Is the Bandland only musical in nature?

The festival is not just for music, as there will be culinary and mixological delights of all kinds under one sky. From proper wheelchair provision to selective smoking areas and a no-littering policy, the festival is set to win over hearts, not just ears.

The BookMyShow booking site believes that the “festival isn’t just for rock fans, but a sonic revolution for music enthusiasts in and around Bengaluru and across the country. Trends will come and go, but Bandland is here to stay. “ The Bandland tickets are available for purchase on the BookMyShow site, October 26 onwards.
