Jigra is Alia's second home production after 2022's 'Darlings', which was released on Netflix.
Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is currently occupied with the filming of her upcoming film Jigra, which is directed by Vasan Bala. The film is slated to release on September 27, next year. As Alia is back to the grind, filming for her film, a few behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets have surfaced online, generating a lot of discussion and apprehension about possible spoilers and her characters based on multiple pictures.
The pictures show Alia in character and give fans a peek at her several appearances, one of which features the celebrity wearing what appears to be a protective vest. The celebrity can be seen riding a scooter on the sets in the most recent pictures circulating, dressed in a blue shirt and pants. Presumably, the actress was filming the scene on a set constructed to seem like a Bangkok alley. In one of the pictures, Alia is seen sporting what appear to be hospital worker uniforms—a light blue top and pants. The actress is seen using her phone while sporting a short hairstyle. She accessorized her ensemble with a watch.

The filming of Jigra kickstarted last October. It is her first project with director Vasan Bala. The film is Alia's second in-house production following the Netflix release of Darlings in 2022. The movie, which is also backed by Karan Johar will open in theaters on September 27, 2024.
Earlier, Alia announced Jigra on social media and wrote, "Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward."
