However, after the event, comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish was subjected to online trolling for following Shakira around at the event. In response to the trolls, Haddish said that she thanks her haters for making her famous, whether they say good or bad things about her.
Shakira's performance at VMA
Shakira had a fantastic night at the VMAs despite Haddish's antics on the red carpet. The Gypsy singer took home two new trophies, bringing her total VMA victories to four, and had the entire audience on their feet with her energetic performance. She even won the Video Pioneer Award, which honors an artist's lifetime achievements.
Shakira sang some of her most popular songs during her performance, including She Wolf, Te Felicito, Objection (Tango), Whenever, Wherever, and Hips Don't Lie. Shakira went all out for her final song in Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, inviting others onstage to dance with her and even crowd surfing across the audience.
