Chiranjeevi has locked a fun comedy-drama and has roped in Prabhu Deva to direct the film
Even at the age of 67, Megastar Chiranjeevi is in no mood to slow down. In one of his latest interviews, the star hero clearly mentioned that he wasted a lot of time staying away from films due to his brief political stint of ten years. Now, he does not want to waste any more time and is doing back-to-back films. He is now ready with his latest outing, Waltair Veerayya, which will hit the screens on the 13th of Jan, 2023 as a Sankranthi special.
Apart from Waltair Veerayya, Chiranjeevi is almost done shooting for his other family drama Bholaa Shankar which has Keerthy Suresh playing Chiranjeevi's sister. Now, as per the latest buzz in the tinsel town, Chiranjeevi has locked a script narrated by a young writer and wants Prabhu Deva to direct it. A few days back, he also met Prabhu at his residence and discussed the script in detail.
Chiranjeevi is planning to produce this film on his own banner as per the update. In all probability, the film might go on floors by the end of this May. Not many are aware that this is not the first time that Prabhu Deva will direct Chiranjeevi. In the past, the choreographer turned director made Shankar Dada Zindabad with Chiranjeevi. Sadly, the film did not click at the box office.
The above-said project is going to be a comedy caper and as Prabhu Deva directed a few fun films in Telugu and Tamil, Chiru felt he would do perfect justice to the script and has locked him in. Once the megastar is done with the shoot of Bholaa Shankar, he will announce this film officially. For now, he is busy with the promotions of his latest film Waltair Veerayya which has been directed by Bobby and also stars Ravi Teja and Shruthi Haasan.
