The newest Tamil releases on OTT and in theatres to watch this week.
For fans of Tamil movies, the first week of August doesn't offer a lot of new options on streaming platforms. And it also looks a bit dull on the box office front as it would not be a wise decision to release movies just a week before the arrival of Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer . Because the filmmakers know that when Jailer hits the screens, the other movies will be pulled out without a second thought.
The Hunt For Veerappan:
It's one of the significant releases for the Tamil audience. The show also holds some political significance for the people of Tamil Nadu as it's based on the life and times of the infamous outlaw Veerappan. The docu-series is helmed by Selvamani Selvaraj. The series will use the unseen footage and audio recordings to shed more light on how Veerappan went on to take over the jungles of South India and challenged the might of the country's security forces for nearly two decades. The series premieres on Netflix on August 4.
