Ranga Maarthaanda:

A legendary thespian naively believes that he could spend his sunset years provided by the warmth and comfort of his popularity and wealth. But, he soon finds out that he lacks the skill and the smarts to deal with events in real life. Unlike his play, he's not aware of how things will end in real life and that puts him on the backfoot. Written and directed by Krishna Vamsi, the movie is the ultimate tear-jerker. Powered by the wonderful performances of Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam, this is a must-watch movie for fans of the drama genre.

Ranga Maarthaanda is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Romancham:

If you're seeking a break from the intense emotions stirred up by Ranga Maarthaanda, Romancham could be just the distraction you need. The movie's box office success took everyone by surprise. Despite its low-key release in cinemas in February, the film went on to make a lot of money at the box office. The movie found its audience sooner than expected and emerged as a commercial success riding on amazing word-of-mouth promotions. Jithu Madhavan's newest venture in the horror-comedy genre is inspired by true events that took place in Bengaluru in 2007. The plot revolves around six roommates who turn to the game of Ouija to alleviate their boredom. However, their harmless fun turns into a terrifying ordeal when a series of unexpected guests begin to appear, throwing their game into chaos. Notable actors such as Soubin Shahir, Siju Sunny, Arjun Ashokan, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Sajin Gopu have been cast in important roles in the film.

Romancham is streaming on Disney+Hotstar.

Ayothi:

Debutant R. Manthira Moorthy has helmed a moving drama, which is a part thriller. It's surprising why Ayothi didn't click at the box office. And hopefully, its second innings on the OTT platform will help it find its audiences. Because this movie deserves a bigger audience. This movie offers a powerful and thought-provoking storyline that revolves around Sasikumar's character, a good samaritan who helps an ill-tempered man with deep-rooted prejudices. Although it maintains the pace of a thriller, the movie's overall tone leans towards the dramatic genre. Ayothi delivers a significant social message without being too preachy, and the subtlety of its commentary is a definite highlight of the film.

Ayothi is streaming on Zee5, OTTplay Premium.
