Latest Kannada OTT releases (October 21 – October 27) - Here is the list of what you can stream on various digital platforms or watch in theatres this week.

Four theatrical releases and 1 OTT title coming audience's way this week

In the festival season, Kannada audiences are more likely to favour big-ticket releases that provide a wholesome theatrical experience. While Dhruva Sarja’s Martin took up the Dasara release window, Roaring Star Sriimurali brings his film Bagheera to theatres this Deepavali. In the gap between these big films is when relatively smaller titles head to theatres. This week, there are 4 such films in theatres, including those starring the likes of Komal and Abhimanyu Kashinath.

Here’s a look at the Kannada films releasing in theatres and on OTT in the week of October 21 to October 27

Yela Kunni

Komal takes on the dual role of father and son in Yela Kunni, a comedy drama that the actor produced along with filmmaker Sahana Murthy. The film is set in two time periods, one in the 80s and the other in modern times. One of Komal’s avatars in the film is inspired by legendary actor Vajramuni.

Elige Payana Yavudo Daari

Abhimanyu Kashinath’s comeback film, which borrows its title from a Dr Rajkumar movie, is a murder mystery. Directed by debutant Kiren S Suryya, Elige Payana Yavudo Daari, has an ensemble cast ensemble cast that includes Spoorthi Udimane, Vijayshree Kalburgi, Raja Balwadi, Shobhan, Pradeep, Ramesh Nayak, among others.

Praapthi

Director S Mahesh Babu’s film, Praapthi, is a horror thriller following a patient with necrophobia, and the therapy he seeks. Starring Jayasurya Anekkal, Gowri Sagar, among others.

Obattu

This suspense thriller directed by Lokesh Vidhyadara has producer Sunanda Kalburgi in the lead, as Ganga, a woman in love with Shiva (Amith Rao). When an unexpected visitor to her house ends up dead on a day that she’d invited Shiva over to have obbattu, and how they deal with this is what the film is about.

Happy Birthday To Me

When Puneeth (Siddarth Maadhyamikaa), decides to celebrate his birthday with a friend with benefits, Aditi (Chaithra J Achar), the encounter doesn’t have a happy ending, when she ends up dead and he has to seek his flat-mate Trippy’s (Siddu Moolimani), help to get rid of the body. Directed by Rakesh Kadri, Happy Birthday To Me also stars Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Archana Kottige and Rachana Rai.
