The Aishwarya Rajinikanth film has ended as a big flop in Telugu. The first-weekend collection in Telugu is so bad and has shocked even the trade circles. Read to know more
Lal Salaam is Aishwarya Rajinikanth's latest film which featured her father and superstar Rajinikanth in a key role. The film had a low-key release in Telugu and started with a disastrous talk at the box office. The release was so bad that the first day first show in many screens in Telugu states was canceled due to the lack of audience.
Lal Salaam is out of several theatres already after its first weekend and the box office numbers are shocking. We have come to know that Lal Salaam made only Rs 5 lakhs in three days of its release in Telangana. This is a shockingly low amount and has never happened before with any Rajinikanth or a popular dubbed Tamil released in Telangana.
This shows how badly the film has been panned by the audience in Telugu. The distributors who spent decent money on the Telugu dubbing rights will see losses in Telugu states. The sad state is that not many knew such a film even came out in the first place in Telugu states.
There were zero promotions for this film in Telugu and distributors too did not do anything much on the release day. Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant played lead roles in this film which had music by AR Rahman. The film is a social drama and has been in the making for quite some time now.
In Tamil too, Lal Salaam did not do that great. Rajinikanth is now busy with his new film and Aishwarya Rajinikanth is yet to prove herself as a director. We need to see what kind of film she makes in the days to come. For now, the Telugu release of Lal Salaam has ended as a massive insult for the entire team. Watch this space for more updates.
