The popular television actress is finally making her debut in a feature film
Celebrated actress Ridhi Dogra, who has managed to create her space for herself on television and web shows, is all set to make her debut in Hindi cinema with the Anshuman Jha-starrer action-thriller, Lakadbaggha.
While it is quite natural to assume that after gaining success on TV, any actor would look for an opportunity to make their entry into Bollywood, Ridhi shared that she never had any dreams or desire to do films. Her goal has and will be to do good work in whichever medium possible, because she was never obsessed with the size of the screen.
Ridhi was asked why she made her entry into films quite late at the trailer launch of the upcoming film. She said, "I am someone who has always gone with the flow and explored whatever opportunity I was given. So, I would not say that I waited for a film for long and then it happened; it happened when it had to. Honestly, I was never really keen on doing films - I was not chasing them. I was happy exploring wherever I was. So, if I was on a set on a TV show, I was happy there and gave my best. I want to live my life fully and in the moment. It's like I do not believe in mojo, I believe in JOMO (laughs)! Wherever I am, that is my paradise. My journey is full of experiences and I have met some wonderful people, many of who have helped me. Overall, I feel like I have been protected by good people throughout my journey. In the coming days, I am ready to add value to any opportunity."
Known for delivering some fine performances in recent times in web series like Asur: Welcome to your Dark Side, The Married Woman and TVF Pitchers, the actress will be seen as an interesting character in Lakadbaggha.
She is playing the character of a police officer who also develops a love interest with the protagonist Arjun Bakshi, played by Anshuman.
The story of the Lakadbaggha revolves around a missing striped hyena and how the protagonist rescues the animal, as well as exposes the illegal animal business.
The film is directed by Victor Banerjee and also features Paresh Pahuja and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. It releases in the theatres on January 13.
