Aamir Khan and his ex-wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao recently collaborated on one of the most successful films of 2024, 'Laapataa Ladies.' The film, which was presented by Jio Studios, is directed by Kiran and produced by Aamir, Rao, and Jyoti Deshpande. Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan to join hands for another project?
In a recent event, Kiran was asked about working with Aamir again, she revealed that she really likes working with him and will definitely work together again soon. She said, “No, we will definitely work together in the future. I don’t know in what capacity because I enjoy working with him, you know, he was the producer on this. Aamir found the script. So I’m always keen to work with him again.”
She also mentioned that she wasn't sure if she would collaborate with the actor in the role of an actor or producer in their upcoming projects. She said that her priority is to concentrate on the story first and then they shall allow it to take its natural course. “Whether he's acting, whether he'll produce, I don't know and honestly, I haven't, I feel like I need to focus on the story first and then it'll take its own organic journey. So hopefully we will work together again," she said.
For the uninitiated, Kiran and Amir first collaborated for the 2010 drama film 'Dhobi Ghat' which featured the actor along with Prateik Babbar, Kriti Malhotra, and Monica Dogra. It was Kiran's directorial debut.
Meanwhile, Laapataa Ladies is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by her, Aamir Khan, and Jyoti Deshpande. The film is presented by Jio Studios and is produced under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. It stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Chhaya Kadam in the lead roles who all garnered a lot of appreciation for their performances after the film was released.
