Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who watched the film during the screening was all praise for Mr Perfectionist
Aamir Khan's much-awaited Laal Singh Chaddha (remake of the Tom Hanks-starrer Forrest Gump) hit screens worldwide today. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, features Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. Aamir Khan was recently in Chennai as part of the film's promotions and a special screening was held for the Tamil film fraternity.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who watched the film during the screening was all praise for Mr Perfectionist. The Poikkal Kuthirai actress took to her social media handle to share her thoughts on the film and a reel on her meeting with Aamir Khan. Stating that Aamir Khan had outdone himself in the film, Varalaxmi wrote, "Was an absolute pleasure and my honour to have watched the film with the man himself..#aamirkhan so humble and such a lovely human being..The director @advaitchandan has adapted #forestgump into #lalsinghchaddha so beautifully by taking us down memory lane with our Indian history..he goes to prove what an amazing actor #Aamirkhan is once again..he just transforms him so effortlessly into all his characters.. he has just outdone himself.."
She added that every scene of the film was packed with emotions. "The film is funny..emotional..nostalgic and so touching all at the same time..so much work has gone into the making of this film..every scene packed with so much emotion..A classic like this can only be remade by this man making you wonder what will be his next.."
She also went on to praise the rest of the star cast, "@kareenakapoorkhan has done an awesom job of being #rupa @monasingh does her part so convincingly well..and a superb job of being his mother..so beautiful.. @chayakkineni portrays #bala so well..grounded..heartwarming and really emotional.. The audience is immediately touched and an instant connect is formed with all the characters and the film itself..kudos to the director for making such a beautiful film.."
Varalaxmi also thanked Aamir Khan for being India's Forrest Gump. "Thank you #Aamir sir for being our #forestgump or should I say #lalsinghchaddha @aamirkhanproductions. Thank you @udhay_stalin for inviting me to witness this amazing film (sic)."
