Laal Singh Chaddha trailer audience reaction: Twitter is divided about Aamir Khan’s upcoming film

The trailer of Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha was revealed some time back and netizens, especially Twitterati, stand divided on how they feel about the newly released clip. While the actor was mostly met with negative comments, some actually thanked him for releasing the trailer during IPL. Even the ones who have not praised the trailer, are keeping their hopes up from the film.

One user is really impressed with what Laal Singh Chaddha wants to bring on the screen, if he looks at Aamir’s film as a standalone movie and not comparing it to Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. The original is a classic and so, many have not found Laal Singh Chaddha trailer up to the mark. However, this user is ready to experience Tom Hanks’ magic from Forrest Gump once again.

Like we just mentioned, many are not appreciating the trailer because they have not been able to fit Aamir in Tom Hanks’ role. Thus, another user called the trailer ‘waste of time.’

Another user has praised the storyline (Forrest Gump adaptation) but pointed out how Aamir’s Punjabi is off putting. The actor plays the role of a Punjabi named Laal Singh Chaddha in the movie and speaks in the language in bits and parts throughout the trailer.

The others could not stop praising the trailer. When not praising the trailer, some users were seen showing confidence in the film which Aamir invested four years in.

Laal Singh Chaddha is helmed by Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya among others in pivotal roles.

The movie will release in theatres on August 11, 2022. The OTT release or platform for this film is yet to be confirmed.
