Although the reports emerge through inside sources and the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha are yet to confirm the same, Khan is said to be keen on releasing a near 1-minute-40-second-long trailer shorty.
Laal Singh Chaddha is less than a month away from its theatrical release but the makers are yet to kick off the promotions in a full-fledged manner. Starring Aamir Khan and Kareen Kapoor in the lead roles, the film is easily one of the biggest releases of the year but the hype at the moment, to put it politely, isn’t very encouraging. The trailer, which was released a few weeks ago, was met with polarizing reception from the digital audience – while many lauded the film’s magnum scope and the endearing nature of the film, others felt that Laal Singh Chaddha wouldn’t be able to do ample justice to the Hollywood original, Forrest Gump.
However, keeping the pre-release promotions in sight, one of the latest reports suggests that actor-producer Aamir Khan is currently working on a more succinct and crisper version of his film’s trailer. Although the reports emerge through inside sources and the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha are yet to confirm the same, Khan is said to be keen on releasing a near 1-minute-40-second-long trailer shorty. Should there be any truth to these speculations, one could expect the promotional campaign to be restarted soon after.
Directed by Advait Chandan (Secret Superstar), Laal Singh Chaddha has been adapted in Hindi by Atul Kulkarni based on Eric Roth's screenplay.
Aamir Khan & Co. recently organized a special premiere in Hyderabad for several bigwigs from the Telugu Film Industry. Seen in attendance were Megastar Chiranjeevi, RRR and Baahubali director S.S. Rajamouli, Pushpa maker Sukumar, Brahmastra actor, and Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, along with Naga Chaitanya. Naga Chaitanya, as many would already know, makes his Hindi debut with Laal Singh Chaddha and plays a prominent role alongside Aamir Khan.
Actor Chiranjeevi would later share a special glimpse from the Hyderabad screening event wherein he could be seen showering praise over the film and also Khan’s performance in the film. A teary-eyed Aamir Khan was seen engaged in a passionate conversation with all his guests after the screening.
"Fascinating how a chance meeting & a little chat with my dear friend #AamirKhan @Kyoto airport - Japan, few years ago led to me becoming a part of his dream project #LaalSinghChaddha," wrote Chiranjeevi in his tweet before praising the film by calling it a gem.
