Mohanlal and Shobhana's upcoming movie, which was tentatively titled #L360, got its official title. The movie, helmed by Tharun Moorthy, is reportedly set to hit theatres in January 2025
The first official look of director Tharun Moorthy’s movie with Mohanlal, which has been tentatively titled #L360, is finally out and along with it, the makers also unveiled its title. The movie, which is titled Thudaram, promises to be a family entertainer, with liberal doses to action, comedy and emotion.
The poster, unveiled on Mohanlal's social media page, had the actor essaying the role of a taxi driver who picks and drops school children. The upcoming movie, which had wrapped up its shoot last month, is scripted by Tharun along with KR Sunil and is touted to be an action drama that will see Mohanlal in a role, appealing to the family audience after quite a while. Though the makers are yet to unveil a release date for Thudarum, reports suggest that the movie will hit theatres in January 2025.
Mohanlal is playing the role of a taxi driver in the movie, which will also see share screen space with Shobhana. In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Tharun said that the actor plays a common man, but it’s the emotional layers of the films that prompted him to approach Mohanlal for the role. The team has rewritten the script of the movie several times, before they began its shoot earlier this year.

The movie had schedules in Ranni, Thodupuzha, Wagamon and Chennai. Though the film is touted to be an action-drama, Tharun had earlier told us that it would also be a fanboy tribute to Mohanlal, as everyone working on the crew has been die-hard fans of the superstar.
Mohanlal is currently set to begin the Dubai schedule of L2: Empuraan, which is set to hit theatres on March 27, 2025. The second instalment of the Lucifer franchise, helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, will have Mohanlal reprise his role as Khureshi Ab’raam aka Stephen Nedumpally. Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran and Tovino Thomas are also part of the big-budget film that will see Prithviraj’s Zayed Masood in an extended role as compared to the first instalment.
Mohanlal’s next release, however, will be his own directorial debut – Barroz, which had a premiere show in Dubai a few days ago. The 3D children’s fantasy movie will have him essay the titular role of a warrior who protects a treasure till its rightful heir arrives. The film is expected to hit theatres in December, if everything goes according to the plan. Next year, the actor is also reportedly set to star in a film with Mammootty that will be directed by Mahesh Narayanan .
