L2 Empuraan, the highly anticipated Mohanlal starrer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran is nearing the final leg of its production. The project, which is a sequel to the actor-director duo’s 2019-released blockbuster Lucifer, is unarguably one of the most anticipated Malayalam films of 2025. Recently, director Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his official Instagram handle, and dropped a big update on the L2 Empuraan teaser, leaving the fans and cinephiles highly excited.
Prithviraj Sukumaran drops L2 Empuraan teaser update
Recently, Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his official social media handles and dropped the click of a music player, with ‘Empuraan teaser final music’ title on it. It is now confirmed that the final copy of the L2 Empuraan teaser is locked with Deepak Dev’s music score. Interestingly, it is also confirmed that the first teaser of the Lucifer sequel has a runtime of two minutes and 31 seconds. The L2 Empuraan teaser is expected to complete its censor formalities, in a couple of days.

L2 Empuraan teaser release date
If the reports are to be believed, L2 Empuraan teaser will be officially released on January 25 or 26, 2025, on the special occasion of production banner Aashirvad Cinemas’ silver jubilee celebrations. Along with the highly anticipated official teaser, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are planning to drop some major updates on the highly anticipated film. The makers are also planning an elaborated marketing campaign for the film, ahead of its grand theatrical release in March 27, 2025.
L2 Empuraan star cast: Here’s what we know
Mohanlal will reprise the popular character Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Abraam in L2 Empuraan, while Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Sai Kumar, Nandu, Baiju Santhosh, Saniya Iyappan, and others will return to play their respective characters from Lucifer. Suraj Venjaramooodu, Shine Tom Chacko, Sharaf U Dheen, Tamil actor Arjun Das, Mani Kuttan, Karthikeya Dev, Caroline Koziol, Eriq Ebouaney, and others have reportedly joined the project as new cast members.
