L2 Empuraan: Prithviraj Sukumaran reveals Manju Warrier’s look; shoot to resume on this date

L2 Empuraan director Prithviraj Sukumaran recently took to his official social media handles and wished leading lady Manju Warrier on her birthday, with a special post.

L2 Empuraan, the highly anticipated second installment of the Lucifer franchise, is nearing the final stages of its production. Mohanlal is returning to play the lead role in the project which is directed by actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie also features Manju Warrier in a key role, and she is reprising her character Priyadarshini Ramdas from the first installment. Recently, director Prithviraj dropped Manju’s first look from L2 Empuraan, wishing the actress on her birthday.

Manju Warrier’s L2 Empuraan look is out

Recently, director Prithviraj Sukumaran wished leading lady Manju Warrier on her birthday, by revealing a special click from the location of L2 Empuraan. “Happy Birthday @manju.warrier (sic),” reads the actor-filmmaker's Instagram story. In the picture, the lady superstar of Malayalam cinema is seen in her signature get-up from the film, in a dark blue saree, open hairdo, and a no make-up look. Prithviraj, on the other hand, is seen giving the actress instructions, in the picture.

L2 Empuraan shoot to resume on this date?

As per the reports, the seventh schedule of L2 Empuraan is all set to begin in Abu Dhabi by the third week of September 2024. The recent updates suggest that director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are planning to resume filming on September 16, 2024. The team is expected to film some crucial portions of the film, featuring leading man Mohanlal and Tovino Thomas, who plays Jatin Ramdas in the film, in the Abu Dhabi schedule. More updates on the same are expected to be out, very soon.

L2 Empuraan will have Indrajith Sukumaran, Baiju Santhosh, Sai Kumar, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Saniya Iyappan, and other prominent faces from Lucifer, reprising their roles. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tamil actor Arjun Das, Sharaf U Dheen, and Shine Tom Chacko, have reportedly joined the addition star cast. Deepak Dev composes the songs and original score. Sujith Vaassudev handles the cinematography. If things go as planned, L2 Empuraan will hit the theatres in March 2025.
