The production and distribution company has several big projects in the pipeline
Bengaluru-based KVN Productions had announced a bunch of films, one each with Nikhil Kumaraswamy, Dhruva Sarja and, the biggie, #Yash19 with Rocking Star Yash. However, in the time since, only the film with Dhruva went on floors, KD-The Devil, while Nikhil’s was shelved and #Yash19 remained an enigma. The firm has, in the meantime, been focusing on distribution, bringing big-ticket films from other industries to theatres, while also serving Kannada movies to audiences. In the second half of the year, they have Toby, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, Garadi, among others.
KVN, which has been bang in the middle of planning the releases of Toby and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, which are coming to theatres one week apart only , just posted something on social media teasing that a big announcement is due soon. Given the size of the font in which ‘Big’ was mentioned on the image, netizens are convinced that it could only mean that word on the much-awaited #Yash19 will finally be here.
Only days ago, while addressing a gathering at a real estate event that Yash had attended, the actor had said that an announcement on his next film would be coming in a week or two. Yash’s last release, KGF: Chapter 2 was in April 2022. The actor was initially rumoured to be preparing for a film with Mufti maker Narthan, but then KGF makers Hombale Films that the third instalment in the saga would take off shortly. In the time since, there have been rumours of collaborations with pretty much every major filmmaker, after which it was heard that Malayalam actress-filmmaker Geethu Mohandas was the chosen one to direct Yash in a realistic gangster tale.
Throughout the last year and more, Yash has always maintained that he’s not been sitting idle and that he and his team have been working on something that he thinks will not disappoint audiences.
