Kunjamminis Hospital, a horror-comedy, headlined by an ensemble cast, including Indrajith Sukumaran, Harisree Asokan, Prakash Raj, and Baburaj, will arrive in cinemas on August 11.

Helmed by Sanal Kumar Devan, the horror comedy is set against the backdrop of a spooky hospital. The film is scripted by Abhayakumar K and Anil Kurian, known for their movies Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam, Punyalan Agarbattis, Chathur Mukham, and Priyan Ottathilanu. Nyla Usha who played a pivotal role in Priyan Ottathilanu, plays the female lead in Kunjamminis Hospital. Actor Prakash Raj, who was recently seen in Dileep's Voice of Sathyanathan, has also played a key role in the movie.

Going by the trailer, the movie revolves around paranormal incidents that happen at a hospital. And it promises to evoke both laughter and chills in the audience. A recently renovated hospital becomes the main subject of gossip after people report experiencing spooky incidents at its premise. The popular consensus is that the hospital is haunted by the ghosts of those who died there in the past. And the hospital also becomes a battleground for the clashes between beliefs and ideas of those who believe in ghosts and those who don't.

However, the ghosts are not dark, twisted and insidious as the ones we see in the Evil Dead series. They all appear warm, innocent and friendly. Yet, the seemingly harmless antics of the dead seem to leave the living terrified. The ghosts seem to have been trapped in the hospital as something is preventing them to pass over to the other side.

Ajay David Kachappilly has shot the horror comedy, while Mansoor Muthutty has taken care of editing. Ranjin Raj, the composer who is known for his works in Joseph, Kanekkaane, and Malikappuram, has scored for Kunjamminis Hospital. Producer Santhosh Thrivikraman of Wow Cinemas has bankrolled the project.
