Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban is gearing up for his next release Chaaver which will have him showcasing a new side of himself. The trailer of the film, helmed by director Tinu Pappachan, suggests that there will be a significant amount of violence and action sequences. During a recent interview, the actor spoke about the violence and how the makers have tackled this.

When asked if it's safe to bring children to theatres for the film and if parents would have to cover their children's eyes during the graphic scenes, Kunchacko replied if parents would do the same during intimate love scenes?

The Padmini actor says he believes that the audience's mindset has changed when it comes to movies with violent scenes. He thinks that some of his recent films which portrayed gruesome sequences, like hitting a person with a hammer, have become popular hits even among family audiences. He further explained that despite having some violence, the makers of Chaaver have not glorified such acts in any way.

Kunchacko also talked about films needing more breathing space to get traction after its release. "We cannot do same kind of films which suit the taste of the audience. We should try new subjects and change people's viewing habits. Films like Niram initially had a poor response in theatres but gained popularity over time. However, nowadays, films are not given the same breathing space in theatres," said Kunchacko. He also emphasised that filmmakers cannot cater to the preferences and opinions of reviewers and critics.
