A sport like a luge is not very popular in India but one athlete took it to the Olympics wherein he represented the country. We are talking about Shiva Keshavan who participated in the Winter Olympics six consecutive times. Now, a biopic on him is all set to be made by Kunal Kapoor and the actor announced it on his social media pages too. Interestingly, he will be turning into a producer for this ambitious project.

Kunal wrote on his Instagram page, "Very happy to start my journey as a producer with the story of six-time winter Olympian, the amazing @100thofasec A story that I’ve lived with and been inspired by for many years. A story that is not only about resilience and the path less taken, but also about the spirit of India. Our ability to reach for the impossible with limited resources. #thefastestindian."

While talking about what drew him towards making a biopic on Shiva, Kunal told The Times of India, "It's a story about the spirit of India and the incredible things we manage to achieve with limited resources. It’s a story of resilience and the path less taken; it’s also a celebration of our culture and diversity."

For the uninitiated, Keshavan represented India at the Winter Olympics between 1998 and 2002.

Meanwhile, Kunal's last outing as an actor was Koi Jaane Na which had a theatrical release this year for a limited time. The film then made it to Amazon Prime Video in May.

Kapoor has been a part of the film industry for nearly two decades now. He made his acting debut with Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities and then went on to join the ensemble cast of Rang De Basanti.

His other popular films include Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Aaja Nachle, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Dear Zindagi to name a few.
